Practice Begins In Lima, Peru
Morro Solar / Lima, Peru - The 3rd round of the IGSA South American Downhill Series started today at Morro Solar, a historic hill in the city of Lima in Peru. The city at the bottom of the hill is called Ciudad de Los Reyes because the King of Spain placed his command there during the conquest of South American. He chose this location because it was a very strategic place along the Pacific Coast. The city was destroyed and burned during a war with Chile at the end of the 18th century and afterwards Lima grew a few kilometers away leaving Ciudad de Los Reyes abandoned.
