Dillon Stephens Takes Pole Position

Today´s qualifying for the Festival de la Bajada IGSA World Cup started early this morning under wet track conditions and sunshine at the Parque Nacional Olaya Herrera in Bogota Colombia. Using a new timing system with transponders and chips, all riders were able to make three qualifying runs before the rain came down soaking the new pavement of the fast, technical course. Since everyone understood that times would not get any better under wet track, plenty of practice runs were held preparing everyone for tomorrow´s day race.

Round #8 Gets Underway In Colombia

Bogata, Colombia - Round #8 of the 2012 IGSA World Cup Series started Saturday in Bogota, Colombia under a wet track conditions, after a night of strong rain fall. After the break for lunch a smoothly rain fallen over the new pavement of the Parque Nacional Olaya Herrera and at the end of the day all riders were blessed with nine practice runs.

World Cup Round #8 Starts Today!

Round #8 of the 2012 IGSA World Cup Series starts today in Bogota, Colombia.  The Festival de la Bajada joins the IGSA World Cup Series after the big success of the 2011 South American Tour stop.  Parque Nacional Olaya Herrera, in the center of Bogata, is the location of the race.  It's Colombia's oldest national park dating back to 1937 featuring an urban rain forest and roads that wind around to different monuments and places of interest.  The 1.4 km (.09mi) course is both fast and technical providing the competitors with a serious challenge.

A.J. Haiby Wins For The Second Year In A Row!

San Dimas, CA, USA - A.J. Haiby won a tight final heat at todays IGSA NorAm Finals Open Downhill Skateboarding class winning the race for the second consecutive year.  Number one qualifier Kyle Wester had a huge lead coming into Orangatang Corner but scrubbed too much speed on the exit.
