Lally & Maytum Win King of the Hill

Goldendale, WA, USA - To close out the day on Saturday, the Maryhill Festival of Speed organizers staged "King of the Hill" races for the top six qualifiers in both Downhill Skateboarding and Street Luge. The races were run at the end of the day under wet, soggy conditions. Auto racing star Andy Lally rode a modified Classic Luge to win the match race.

Lally won the King of the Hill Street Luge race over Mike McIntyre, Justin Toleman, and David Dean. Both #1 qualifier Matthias Lang and #3 qualifier John Rogers elected not to race due to the wet conditions.

Zak Maytum qualified in the 7th position but was invited to participate in the "King of the Hill" Downhill Skateboard race when Kevin Reimer elected not to compete in the wet conditions. Maytum made the most of the opportunity by winning the race over Mischo Erban, James Kelly, Nate Lang, Patrick Switzer and Nick Jean. Despite the rainy conditions, lots of fans stayed to cheer on their favorite skaters for the race.
