Dillon Stephens Wins In Peru
Morro Solar/Lima, Peru -After winning the Copa de Loa Andes last year in Tarma, Peru, Canadian Dillon Stephens returned to Peru to win Copa Ciudad de Los Reyes. It was the third round of the 2012 IGSA South American Series.
In the final, Stephens battled home town Peruvian Felipe Malaga to increase his points lead in the IGSA South American Series.
Canadians Nicolas Desmarais and Max Gradmiller battled it out in the Consolation Final with Nicolas winning the heat to finish third.
2011 IGSA South American Champion Brazilian Reine Olivera won the Women´s Downhill after number one qualifier Giorgina Ivanov from Peru crashed in the final heat.
O\In Junior I, Peruvian Rodrigo Zuzunaga was the winner and fellow Peruvian Gustavo Paredes won the Junior II.
Peruvian Junior Gonzalo Brandon earned the top spot on the podium by winning the Classic Luge and Chilean Rodrigo Bisquertt was declared Champion on Street Luge.
The 2012 IGSA South American Series take a week break now before moving to Brazil for 5th Mostra Competitiva de Downhill in Guaiba and then to Top Skate Pro Teutonia IGSA World Cup at the fastest hill of the entire Series.
