Petaluma, CA, USA- The IGSA is pleased to announce the Verdicchio IGSA European Championships August 12-14, 2011. Castelplano is the host city located in the beautiful hills of the Marche region in the Province of Ancona.This is where the “Verdicchio” (white grapes) grow under the warm sun producing the most fruitful white wines in Italy known as the Verdicchio!
Verdicchio will also be host to round number four of the 2011 IGSA Euro Cup Series. A separate championship comprised of the Kozakov Challenge, Insul Cup, Padova Grand Prix and the Verdicchio European Championships will crown a 2011 IGSA Euro Cup Series Champion. The event is being organized by the Team Flat Skateboard Association, composed by Federico Barboni and Roberto Marasca, in association with the IGSA. They are proud to invite you all to this three day event in the middle of Italy.

Dating back to medieval times, the road was constructed by Pope Clemente XII to provide a link between the castle villages up in the hills with the villages down near the river. This medieval road from the past that makes trade possible between villages today, will host riders of all over Europe and around the world for the Verdicchio European Championships. , Competitors from all countries will have fun with their longboards and street luges, shredding this medieval track full of sweeping turns and sweet hairpins.
