Sanctioned by IGSA

The Street Luge events of the 1997-2001 ESPN X Games were sanctioned by the IGSA. In addition IGSA President Marcus Rietema was contracted by ESPN to serve as the events Sport Organizer. Through the years of the IGSA's involvement, the X Games featured Dual, Mass, Super Mass and King of the Hill events. The 2000 event also featured Gravity Bikes as an official demonstration sport. This event was organized by Rietema and sanctioned by the IGSA as well.
