Douglas Silva casts his hand prints for ESPN Brasil.

Sao Paulo, Brazil -  Brazilian downhill star Douglas “Dalua” Silva was immortalized recently by ESPN Brasil when they invited him to place his hand and foot prints in cement at their Sao Paulo studios.  The event was broadcast throughout Brazil and also included an interview where he talked about his downhill racing career.

ESPN only invites the best athletes in Brazil to cast their prints and Douglas is the first downhill skateboarder to ever have the honor bestowed upon them.

In 2008 Dalua won the Malarrara Pro Teutonia World Cup race for the third time and finished the year ranked 11th in the world.  He is known for attacking the steepest downhill courses in the world without fear and also for his incredibly strong push off the line.  Dalua’s nickname dates back to his childhood years of playing football (soccer).  He currently resides in Sao Leopoldo, Brazil.  The IGSA would like to congratulate Douglas on his great achievement.
