high rising postponed 09

The organizers of the High Rising Downhill Extreme scheduled for May 2-3 have decided to postpone the event for one week due to a very poor weather forecast.  The event has been rescheduled for May 9-10.

According to Iona Zietsman from the South African Gravity Racing Association (SAGRA), the weather forecast is calling for a 60% chance of rain on Saturday and a 100% chance of ri on Sunday.  Rather than braving the elements, the organizers have decided to postpone the event until the following weekend when weather appears to be a lot more favorable.

"We are sorry for any inconvenience this causes to the spectators and competitors but we feel this is the best solution for everyone", said Zietsman.  "We are looking forward to a great IGSA sanctioned National event next weekend."
