Silva Qualifies #1
Today the first day of the 1st IGSA South American Series in Potrero de Los Funes, province of San Luis / Argentina on a paradisiac 2.2km length track with plenty of turns and hairpins pushing to all sides at speeds close to 80km/h.
The beauty of the mountains atmosphere brought a great special glamour to the race on a perfect weather and a very sunny day.
Douglas da Silva sets the best qualifying time after 2 runs for each rider with incredible nearly 4 seconds faster than second place, Brazilian Max Ballesteros with Diego Alemparte from Chile coming close behind in third and Brazilian Thiago Lessa in fourth. Juan Guevara was the best Argentinian rider and closed the top five of the day.
Over 2.000 spectators ate being expected for tomorrow and rounds of 64 riders will take place for Downhill Skatboarding.
Brazilian group from Curitiba Brazil SLAC dominated the street luge with Leo Borton, Mario Jardim, Walter Baresi and Jonathan Gralha rounding the top 4 while Mariza Nunes from Peru dominated the women downhill with Brazilian Christie Aleixo in second.
A good number of Juniors challenged the technical course and Brazilian Daniel Machado set the best time followed by Argentinian Simon Butschek in second.
