high rising xtreme poster 2010
SAGRA is pleased to announce High Rising Downhill Xtreme  will be taking place from the 29th - 30th May 2010! The High Rising  hill is fast with a tricky last left hand into the High Rising Dip...the  question is...to drift or not to drift?

The Location:

Nestled between pine forests, fynbos and Martian like landscape, the Houwteq complex is situated 4km off the N2. The Houwteq complex was built back in the Apartheid times to design, manufacture and deploy big ass bombs so they can blow things up in far, far away places in case they needed too for the SADF. In 1994 it was all terminated and the complex stood still for many years. In 2004 the owners of Houwteq allowed SAGRA to run a race on a hill in the complex, the best thing about the hill was two roads leading to the top. One was raced on and the other was to transport riders back up. With such a system in place riders were carted to the top in record time adding to the pleasure of more runs.

Race Course:

The course is quick and fast, starting at the top riders push down a short straight into a tight right-hand. The hill banks to the left as you speed down the hill, about mid way riders will need to negotiate a hay bail chicane before the last drop which dips into a tight left-hand carnage corner. The course is 1km long from top to bottom.

Classes:

Street Luge, Classic Luge and Downhill Skateboard will be offered. Awards will be given to the top four finishers in each category.

Technical Inspection:

All racing vehicles and safety equipment will be subject to a strict  technical inspection before being allowed on the race course. Complete  rules and regulations are available at www.gravity-sports.com

Indemnity Forms:

All riders must fill out a indemnity form before been allowed to race. Entrants under the age of 18 require a signature from parent or legal guardian.
