Eastbourne, England - Scoot Smith made the most of warm, sunny conditions and virtually no wind to post the fastest qualifying time of the day and overtake Mischo Erban for the number one qualifying position for tomorrow's GoFast! Speed Days event in Eastbourne, England.
A whole bunch of riders showed up in Eastbourne overnight and immediately made their presence felt in Saturdays second round of qualifying. Nearly every rider improved their times by a full three to five seconds. Friday's qualifying leader Mischo Erban also lowered his time to hold onto the number two position. Boris Schinke from Germany made his presence felt and surprised many by posting the third best time.
Rounding out the top five were local favorite Pete Connolly in fourth and Andreas Hagstrom from Sweden in fifth. Many of the riders were divided by hundreths and even thousandths of a second. It's an very tight field of racers and everyone is excited to see what will transpire on Sunday.
